Fall Leaves 2002
If only we knew the recipe that produced the lovely pastel colors of the 2002 fall leaves. The rarely captured pink, purple and aqua colored leaves underscore this unique photo.

Fall Leaves 2003
Each fall, the colors, even from the same tree are different, and each year the leaves tell a different story. Some years are more bold, other quiet, but regardless of the story, the images are always inspiring. The climate this fall boasted rainfall of 1.88 inches and an average temperature of 51.8 degrees.

Fall Leaves 2004
When you ask transplanted Midwesterners what they miss most about their home state, most say that they miss the change of seasons. This dew kissed photograph captures that magic time of year. October of 2004 recorded 2.85 inches of rain and an average temperature of 63 degrees.

Fall Leaves 2005
In 2005, the Chicago area suffered near drought conditions, with only 1.39 inches recorded in October and temperatures averaging 55.2 degrees. This years unique weather produced leaves with more greens and gold than those previous. Even more special is that this photo was captured on one of those rare rainy days.

Fall Leaves 2006
2006 may have been the Chinese Year of the Dog, but in the Midwest it was the year of the leaf, and had the distinction of being one of the coldest Octobers in recent history. With an average temperature of only 49 degrees, and rainfall of over 4 inches, the fall colors in 2006 were vibrant, and highlighted those special blue and purple leaves.

Fall Leaves 2007
As unique as a fingerprint, each leaf is a one of a kind work of art. The artist is often asked if there is really such a thing as a blue leaf. The answer is a definitive, yes, however the shades of blue will vary from year to year. The Midwestern climate in the fall of 2007 was warmer, averaging 59 degrees but much dryer with only 1.69 inches of precipitation falling. The resulting colors are vivid turquoise and an abundance of pink, rarely seen since 2002.
